Arriving at a Colombia surf spot that is most likely completely unchartered surf territory is very exciting, and surfing in Colombia will very often give you this very sensation. In Colombia, you are going to find the best surfing in Colombia on the Pacific coastline of the country although there are some surf spots on the Caribbean side as well. When you start planning to come surfing in Colombia you need to keep in mind that the waves come from the south west between April and December and from the north or northeast in January and February. The southwest waves are higher, except when they casually come from the north of the Pacific in January an February. Also note that Ada airlines will only take boards as long as they don't exceed the 6' 9''.

When your are surfing on the pacific coast of Colombia, the best surf breaks are at places only accessible by boat and where you will often find yourself the only one in the water.
